Aliki is a place of truly and rare beauty, where the human presence is recorded since the 7th century. An ancient temple, two basilisks, some low houses which people use until today during the olive harvesting, still exist in perfect harmony at the two small bays. At on of them you can see a peninsula which has ancient marble mines to its edges.

The temple is located at the head of the east bay and it is dating since the middle of the 7th century. Some of the scripts that were found, revealed its location as they mentioned wishes to the ships which came to Aliki to load marble stone. The marble mining was the number one priority from 5th to 6th century. Until today, there are some large marble walls that look like icebergs. Today the beach of Aliki has amazing crystal clean and blue waters which temp you to stay there for hours.
